Why shipping weight changes the comparison
Two similar item prices do not create the same total context if one item is much heavier or occupies more space. Carriers or services may use actual weight, dimensional weight or another chargeable-weight rule controlled by that third party.
Keep item price, estimated item weight, packaging assumption and estimated packed weight in separate spreadsheet columns. That makes a later update possible without rewriting the whole comparison.

- Shoes and sneakers: soles, multiple pairs and shoe boxes can add significant mass and volume.
- Jackets and heavy clothing: dense fabric, padding and outer packaging can change both weight and size.

Why an estimate is not a guarantee
The final parcel may differ because of packaging, consolidation, dimensional rules, carrier restrictions or a measurement made after the item is received. A spreadsheet value remains a planning input until an authorized actual measurement replaces it.
Keep the claim narrow
Do not turn “often around this weight” into a promised shipping charge or delivery time. This site does not know the parcel, destination, service, customs result or carrier decision.
